Ack! Another Monday and I still haven’t written a post for you guys. Sorry about that.
I’ve been really behind on work, so if I do any writing, it’s going to be for my work blog and not my personal blog. But hopefully by next week, I’ll be back on track.
Anyway, instead of a longer post, here are a handful of fun websites for writers that you should go check out!
Plot Generator
This website is so fun to play around with and get new ideas from. Even though the longer generators often make up gibberish (you’ll never publish a randomly generated short story), the other generators like character profiles and story plots are super handy!
Here’s the plot generator, which I use to help me come up with short story ideas: https://www.plot-generator.org.uk/story-ideas/
Artbreeder
If you’re a writer, and you aren’t using Artbreeder to make face claims for your characters, what are you doing?
To be honest, I’m still not 100% sure how to work this site. I just kind of click buttons until something happens. But there are plenty of tutorials out there on how to use Artbreeder successfully!

To get started, create a free account with your Gmail address. Then you just click on the tab on top of the page that says “create.”
donjon (Fantasy World Generator)
This website is actually made for D&D players, but it comes in handy for those of us who struggle with making maps.
I’m not good at map making, so I just use randomly generated maps that look similar to the idea in my head.
A good fantasy map generator is on donjon.bin.sh.
This website has several other generators on it, but the world map one is my favorite.
https://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/world/
I usually generate maps without castles, cities, labels, or hex patterns. That way, I can fully personalize it myself.
Here’s a map I generated for my fantasy WIP. I got this by selecting antique map style, no cities and castles, no hex grid, and no label map.
Doesn’t it look cool?
Obviously, as I write, I’ll probably develop this story world further, so this map might not fit the story for too long. But for now, it works perfectly.
Anyway, that’s it for today!
Hope you all are doing well, and I’ll be back soon, hopefully with a more in-depth post.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you next time!

I’m always looking for good character design sites! I love having visuals for my cast, but I’m really not the best artist lol.
Me too! Hopefully the Artbreeder site is a good solution for you. I’ve started finding more tutorials on how to use it, and it seems like a really awesome resource!
